PDI Engineer / Generator Service & Maintenance Technician – Bristol

Location: Bristol | Hours: Full-Time

We are looking for an experienced PDI Engineer to join a busy generator service and maintenance team in Bristol. This role offers hands-on work with hire fleet generators and customer equipment, including fault-finding, breakdown repairs, and on-site support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Service, maintain, and repair hire fleet generators and ancillary equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair generator faults, both in-depot and on customer sites.
• Assist with synchronising generators for set-to-set and set-to-mains applications.
• Deliver, collect, load, and offload generators and equipment safely.
• Operate forklifts in the yard and maintain a tidy workshop environment.
• Assist customers with on-site equipment setup, including running cables.
• Conduct site surveys and provide technical support for special projects.
• Participate in a 1-in-4 on-call rota.
• Maintain health & safety compliance and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Strong generator knowledge with proven fault-finding abilities.
• Mechanical or electrical background essential.
• Full UK driving licence (towing categories preferred).
• Forklift licence desirable (training can be provided).
• Strong communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• CSCS/ECS card preferred (training can be provided).
