We're working with a growing Building Services consultancy in Cardiff that is looking to appoint an experienced BIM Engineer to support the delivery of a wide range of commercial, residential, healthcare, education and mixed-use projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong BIM and Revit background who wants to take ownership of projects, work closely with engineers and designers, and play a key role in developing BIM standards and project delivery processes.
You'll be involved throughout the full project lifecycle, helping to coordinate multidisciplinary designs, manage BIM models, and ensure projects are delivered efficiently and accurately.
What You'll Be Doing
- Producing and managing detailed 2D and 3D drawings using Revit and AutoCAD
- Developing, maintaining and coordinating BIM models across Building Services projects
- Working closely with Mechanical and Electrical Design Engineers throughout project delivery
- Managing model coordination and clash detection processes
- Ensuring BIM standards, procedures and documentation are maintained
- Supporting project teams with design revisions and technical drawing production
- Liaising with internal teams, clients and external consultants where required
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of BIM processes and workflows
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years' experience in a BIM, Revit or CAD role within Building Services, MEP or consultancy environments
- Strong working knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD
- Experience coordinating BIM models on live projects
- Good understanding of Building Services design and construction processes
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within project teams
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Nice to Have
- Experience using Navisworks, BIM 360 or Autodesk Construction Cloud
- Understanding of BIM Level 2 standards and project requirements
- Experience working on Mechanical, Electrical or Public Health engineering projects
- Knowledge of clash detection and model coordination processes
