We’re looking for a Principal Electrical Engineer to join a growing team of 8 in Oxford, helping deliver building services projects from design through to completion. The team is expanding, so this is a great opportunity to lead on design, manage projects, and mentor junior engineers.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading project surveys, feasibility studies, and electrical design
- Producing specifications and drawings
- On-site supervision and contract administration
- Managing mechanical services installations
- Mentoring and supporting junior team members
What we’re looking for:
Essential:
- Degree in a relevant subject
- 10+ years’ experience for Principal, 5+ years for Senior-level roles
- Experience managing teams and mentoring juniors
- Strong knowledge of electrical building services design
- AutoCAD experience (reading/understanding drawings is important)
- Revit experience
- Excellent communication, organisational, and prioritisation skills
- Driving license and own transport
- Competent with Microsoft Office
Desirable:
- Experience with additional design/modelling software (training provided)
