We’re looking for a junior BIM / AutoCAD Engineer to join a growing engineering team in Cardiff. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who wants hands-on experience working on real projects, not just sitting updating drawings all day.

You’ll be supporting the design team in producing 2D and 3D drawings, helping develop BIM models, and getting exposure to live engineering projects across multiple sectors.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Producing and updating 2D drawings using AutoCAD
  • Supporting the creation and coordination of BIM models (Revit or similar)
  • Working alongside engineers and senior designers on live projects
  • Assisting with design changes and revisions
  • Helping maintain drawing standards and documentation
  • Learning how projects move from concept through to delivery

What We’re Looking For

  • 0–2 years’ experience in a BIM / CAD role (or a relevant qualification)
  • Basic AutoCAD skills (Revit experience is a bonus, not essential)
  • Keen to learn and develop — attitude matters more than experience
  • Someone local to Cardiff or able to commute easily
  • Good attention to detail and willingness to get stuck in

Nice to Have (but not essential)

  • Exposure to BIM processes or Revit
  • Engineering, construction, or design-related background
  • Understanding of technical drawings

Why Join

  • Proper training and development — not just thrown in the deep end
  • Opportunity to grow into a fully-fledged BIM Engineer
  • Work on real projects from day one
  • Friendly, down-to-earth team (no corporate nonsense)
