A multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy in Manchester is seeking a strong electrical engineer for their studio, at either Senior or Principal level. The role offers genuine variety and real ownership from concept through to delivery, with schemes up to £20m.
The work involves:
- High-rise residential projects
- Healthcare projects
- Ownership of the whole scheme: concept, strategy, briefs, designing to budget
- Live net-zero workstreams
They are looking for:
- A self-starter who can work independently
- Someone who can think for themselves and adapt between project types
- A candidate who is happy owning a brief from concept to delivery
- Commercial awareness is a nice to have
- A long-term commitment to the role
Level requirements:
- Senior: ~2 years+ building-services electrical design experience, ready to step up onto bigger schemes
- Principal: leading schemes end to end, ready for management and client-facing responsibility
Background & tools:
- Consultancy background preferred, but contractor/D&B design experience is welcome
- Experience with spec writing (MBS Chorus), lighting (Relux/Dialux), cable calculations (ElecoM/Amtech)
- Revit experience is a plus, but not essential
