We’re looking for an Intermediate / Senior Mechanical Building Services Engineer to join a growing in-house design team delivering major commercial, healthcare, education, industrial and public-sector projects.

This is a role with real technical ownership. You’ll work across projects from concept through to construction, with the opportunity to lead designs, work directly with clients and, at Senior level, mentor junior engineers.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Design mechanical building services from concept to detailed design
  • Deliver HVAC, heating, cooling, LTHW, CHW and public health systems
  • Carry out heating, cooling, hydraulic and pipe sizing calculations
  • Design plantrooms and select mechanical equipment
  • Produce specifications, reports and technical schedules
  • Coordinate designs across Revit / BIM and multidisciplinary teams
  • Attend client, design and site meetings
  • Support projects through construction, commissioning and handover
  • Review technical submissions and resolve contractor queries

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong background in Mechanical Building Services Design
  • Consultancy or Design & Build experience
  • Confident with Revit and AutoCAD
  • Experience with MagiCAD, Hevacomp, IES VE or TAS
  • Strong technical understanding of HVAC and mechanical systems
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work to deadlines
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills
