We are working with a well-established and growing Fire & Security company in Cardiff that is looking to recruit an experienced Alarm Administrator to support its busy office and engineering team.
Location: Cardiff
Salary: Β£14.00 β Β£16.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Job Type: Full-time or Part-time
This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive administrator with experience supporting engineers, managing service schedules, processing timesheets, and handling the day-to-day administration of a fast-paced office. Flexible working hours are available, including school-hour-friendly options for the right candidate.
The Role
- Managing customer contracts and associated paperwork
- Logging customer callouts and allocating work to engineers
- Updating completed job reports
- Scheduling planned maintenance visits and servicing appointments
- Reviewing and processing engineers' timesheets
- Maintaining engineer training records and certifications
- Managing fleet administration, including vehicle MOTs, servicing, and road tax
- Assisting customers with job documentation and paperwork
- Providing general administrative support to the management team
- Using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and internal software (full training provided)
What We're Looking For
- Previous administration experience within an engineering company, Fire & Security business, or similar technical environment
- Experience organising engineers' timesheets and service schedules
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritise a busy workload
- A proactive and professional approach
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
- Full UK Driving Licence (preferred)
