Weβre exclusively supporting a highly respected Bristol-based power systems specialist operating across the UK HV renewables infrastructure space. This business delivers complex 33kVβ132kV electrical design and power systems projects for renewable generation, grid connections and HV infrastructure nationwide. They are growing rapidly and have just strengthened their commercial delivery team with a non-technical Project Manager β which means they now need serious technical expertise to lead the engineering side.
Theyβve asked us to find three experienced Electrical Design Engineers to be the technical backbone of their project delivery.
The Role β Purely Technical, Design-Led EngineeringThis is not a commercial, client-facing PM-style role. This is for someone who:
- Lives and breathes HV electrical design
- Has strong experience across 33kVβ132kV systems
- Is comfortable being the technical authority between PM, site and customer
- Enjoys being deep in drawings, schematics and design detail
You will be the technical lead while the PM handles the commercials.
What they need- 5+ yearsβ experience in HV electrical engineering/design
- Strong design background using AutoCAD & Revit
- Experience across power systems / grid / renewables / HV infrastructure
- Degree educated preferred
- Happy to be office-based in Bristol 3β4 days per week
- Open to 2 days per week on site (travel to Scotland and other UK sites β expenses covered, flights arranged)
Salary circa Β£75,000 (flexible for the right person), 25% bonus, Profit share, Genuine long-term progression as the engineering function grows.
