We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bid Writer to join a growing pre-construction team. This role is central to securing new business by producing high-quality, compelling, and client-focused tender submissions for projects ranging from Β£500k to Β£5m.
Working closely with estimating, design, and delivery teams, you will develop persuasive bids that clearly demonstrate capability, innovation, and value to clients across a range of projects.
Key Responsibilities- Writing clear, concise, and persuasive responses for PQQs, ITTs, and tender submissions
- Interpreting client requirements and tailoring responses accordingly
- Coordinating with internal teams to gather technical and project information
- Ensuring full compliance with bid specifications, deadlines, and quality standards
- Supporting the development of bid strategies, win themes, and case studies
- Managing document control, versioning, and maintaining a library of reusable bid content
- Proven experience as a Bid Writer or Proposals Writer (ideally within construction, refurbishment, or fit-out environments)
- Understanding of public sector procurement processes is advantageous
- Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work effectively under pressure
- Organised, proactive, and collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams
