Maintenance Technician

Role Overview
Weβre looking for a proactive Maintenance Technician to join a high-volume manufacturing environment. Youβll ensure production lines and machinery operate at maximum efficiency, carrying out preventative maintenance, managing breakdowns, and performing fault-finding on mechanical, electrical, and robotic equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain PLC-controlled production equipment
- Plan and perform preventative maintenance on machinery
- Improve and modify assembly/test equipment and transfer systems
- Maintain electrical and mechanical site services/plant
- Support the installation of new equipment
- Identify and suggest process improvements based on maintenance and fault findings
Key Requirements
- ONC/HNC or equivalent in Mechanical/Electrical; City & Guilds 3, NVQ 2 & 3, or Time Served Apprenticeship
- 2+ yearsβ experience in high-volume manufacturing
- Experience in repair, maintenance, and process improvement
- Skilled in fault finding on PLC-controlled and robotic equipment
- Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatic systems
- Experience in fitting, fabrication, and machining is a plus
- Ability to work independently and exercise initiative
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organisation, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities
- Understanding of preventative maintenance schedules and safe engineering practices
