The Client

As a leading international player in both Branded and Own Label markets, our client operates multiple UK sites and has built an impressive track record of growth, innovation, and market leadership. Their strategic ambition is to master the delicate balance of driving both volume and value , ensuring sustained market success. To achieve this, they invest heavily in NPD (New Product Development) and category-driven solutions . Following a significant NPD push, they are now primed for the next stage of their evolution.

The Role

Due to continued business growth, they are looking to appoint a highly driven National Account Executive with the ambition and capability to step into a National Account Manager role within 2 Years. This newly created position reports directly to the Head of Sales , offering an exciting opportunity to develop within a fast-paced, results-driven environment where you’ll be challenged and supported to grow.

Working closely with several National Account Managers, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering budgeted volume & profit targets
  • Supporting the SNAM in NPD launches and collaborating with development chefs on new projects
  • Sales performance & promotional forecasting through detailed data analysis
  • Building strong relationships both internally (manufacturing teams) and externally (supply analysts & buyers in major retail channels)
  • Implementing joint business plans , securing approvals, and executing effectively
  • Identifying risks & opportunities , engaging the team in problem-solving, and driving action plans
  • Managing sales & margins for assigned accounts, delivering against set budget targets
  • Developing & supporting commercial managers , contributing to overall business success

Candidate Profile

To excel in this role, you’ll need:

Strong organisational, analytical, and relationship-building skills

Excellent communication & negotiation abilities

A proactive, ‘can-do’ attitude with a desire to succeed and grow

Ideally, you will have 18+ months of experience in FMCG, Consumer Non-Food, or Retail , within one of the following areas:

Sales/Commercial – National or Regional Account Management

Category/Merchandising

Commercial Marketing

Commercial/Finance Analysis or Demand Planning.

Retail-side experience- Buying Experience.
