The Business

Our client is a leading branded food business with global reach, operating across multiple international markets and home to a portfolio of premium consumer brands that continue to shape their categories. Their brands combine outstanding consumer awareness, genuine emotional connection and powerful impulse purchase dynamics, creating products that consumers actively seek out and retailers actively champion.

Innovation is embedded within everything they do. Significant investment continues to flow into consumer insight, brand development, shopper marketing and New Product Development, ensuring their portfolio remains at the forefront of changing consumer behaviours and emerging market trends.

Unlike many organisations where Brand Managers become specialists in one narrow area, this business believes in creating commercially complete marketers. Their philosophy is to give talented people genuine ownership, broad exposure and the opportunity to influence every aspect of brand performance.

This is an exciting period for the UK business. Continued investment, ambitious growth plans and a strong innovation pipeline have created an outstanding opportunity to join one of the most progressive marketing teams in FMCG.

The Opportunity

This is far more than a traditional Brand Manager position. You will become the commercial custodian of one of the business's most exciting premium brands, taking ownership across Grocery, Convenience and Out of Home channels while helping shape the future direction of the brand over the coming years. Think of the role as becoming the Mini Managing Director of your brand.

You will own the complete marketing mix, balancing strategic brand planning with day-to-day commercial execution, whilst working closely with Sales, Category, Shopper Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Insight and Innovation teams to deliver ambitious growth plans. From identifying emerging consumer trends and creating innovation pipelines, through to launching market-leading NPD, developing packaging, managing agencies, analysing commercial performance and presenting compelling brand plans, you'll influence every stage of the brand's journey. This breadth of responsibility is rarely found at Brand Manager level and provides an exceptional platform for future career progression.

What You'll Be Responsible for

  • Leading the strategic development and commercial performance of premium consumer products
  • Developing and delivering ambitious annual brand plans and longer-term growth strategies
  • Owning the complete innovation pipeline from concept through to successful market launch
  • Identifying new consumer occasions, formats and growth opportunities across Grocery, Convenience and Out of Home
  • Managing packaging development, creative execution and agency relationships
  • Translating consumer insight and market data into commercially successful marketing initiatives
  • Working closely with Sales and Category teams to create compelling retailer activation programmes
  • Managing cross-functional project teams spanning Marketing, NPD, Supply Chain, Operations and Finance
  • Monitoring brand performance and recommending actions that accelerate sales, share and profitability
  • Championing your brand throughout the business whilst building strong relationships with international stakeholders

Why this Role

  • Become the Mini Managing Director of one of the business's most exciting premium brands
  • Own the complete marketing mix with genuine end-to-end responsibility
  • Lead exciting innovation projects that will shape future category growth
  • Work with premium brands that consumers genuinely love and retailers actively support
  • Gain exposure across Grocery, Convenience and Out of Home channels
  • Join a global FMCG business renowned for investing in its brands and developing outstanding marketers
  • Work within an entrepreneurial UK team where ideas move quickly and good people are given real responsibility
  • Build an exceptional platform towards Senior Brand Manager, Marketing Controller and future Marketing Leadership opportunities

Candidate Profile

We are looking for an ambitious FMCG marketer who combines commercial thinking with genuine consumer curiosity. Currently operating as a Brand Manager or an outstanding Assistant Brand Manager ready for a significant step forward. Blue Chip FMCG experience is highly desirable. Experience developing brands within highly competitive consumer markets. Strong commercial awareness with the ability to balance creativity and analytical thinking. Experience working across cross-functional project teams. Passion for innovation, consumer insight and brand growth. Confident presenting ideas and influencing stakeholders across multiple functions.
