Our client is one of the food industry’s best-kept secrets. A global branded food business with a growing and increasingly influential UK operation, combining strong heritage with clear commercial ambition. Their portfolio consists of established and developing brands, with strong listings across the UK grocery landscape and clear headroom for further growth. This is a business that invests properly. Across Consumer Marketing, Category, NPD and Planning, there is real substance behind the strategy. The result is a team that consistently delivers and a culture that blends entrepreneurial energy with the backing of a global organisation.

What you will find here is refreshingly different:

  • A close-knit, supportive culture with the backing of a larger international group
  • Trust and autonomy in how you manage your accounts
  • A clear focus on growth, not internal politics or unnecessary process
  • The opportunity to contribute to how the UK business evolves
  • Strong internal capability across Marketing, Category and Supply Chain
  • A branded portfolio with genuine headroom across UK grocery
  • This is a business where strong account managers are trusted to deliver

As National Account Manager, you will take ownership of key UK grocery accounts, managing performance through structured commercial delivery and strong customer relationships. Reporting into senior commercial leadership, you will be supported but expected to take real ownership of your accounts and deliver against clear commercial objectives. This is a classical branded FMCG account management role. You will be responsible for delivery, close to the detail, and accountable for performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Full P&L ownership across your accounts, including revenue, margin and trade investment
  • Support and deliver Joint Business Plans, ensuring strong execution and follow through
  • Build credible, insight-led relationships with grocery buyers and key stakeholders
  • Deliver accurate forecasting and maintain a disciplined commercial cadence
  • Use data and category insight to support customer conversations and drive growth
  • Identify opportunities to increase distribution, improve rate of sale and enhance profitability
  • Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Category, Supply Chain and Finance to deliver aligned outcomes
  • Maintain high standards of execution across all aspects of account management

This is a high-impact commercial role operating in a genuinely fast-paced category, where NPD and category initiatives are central to success and strength of character matters as much as commercial acumen. You will be expected to influence at all levels, internally across Sales, Category, Marketing, Finance and Supply Chain, and externally at senior levels within the retailer matrix.

Candidate Requirements:

  • We are looking for a commercially strong National Account Manager with a clear grounding in branded FMCG and experience working with UK grocery retailers
  • Experience managing UK grocery accounts within a branded FMCG environment
  • Strong commercial awareness, including margin, promotional mechanics and forecasting
  • Exposure to Joint Business Planning and structured account management
  • A disciplined, organised approach with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to build credible relationships with customers and internal teams
  • A proactive mindset, comfortable taking ownership and driving performance

Why This Role:

  • A branded business with real growth opportunity across UK grocery
  • Backing of a global organisation with strong resource and capability
  • A role with genuine ownership and visibility
  • Exposure to well-invested brands and strong internal functions
  • A supportive, performance-focused environment
  • Attractive salary, benefits and home-based flexibility

If you are a National Account Manager looking for a role where you can genuinely own your accounts and make an impact, we would be very interested to hear from you.
