Associate Director – PT Engineering & Manufacturing

As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that supplier quality meets the highest standards. You will oversee new supplier introductions, manage supplier product qualifications, and maintain ongoing supplier quality assurance. Working closely with procurement and manufacturing teams, you will be instrumental in developing and improving supplier capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct management system and process audits to qualify and approve new suppliers.
- Manage supplier relationships through New Product Introduction (NPI), ensuring compliance with project deadlines, APQP, and PPAP approvals.
- Schedule and execute regular supplier audits to maintain approval status based on risk assessment.
- Implement the Supplier Quality Manual and provide training to help suppliers achieve IATF 16949/VDA 6.3 compliance.
- Act as the primary interface between the company and suppliers, ensuring seamless communication and issue resolution.
- Monitor and report Supplier Quality KPIs, working proactively to enhance performance.
- Oversee supplier corrective and preventive actions, defect management, and change control processes.
- Support supplier visits, development programs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
What We’re Looking For:
- HNC / HND in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
- IATF/VDA experience.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally within the automotive sector, mechanical engineering, electronics, or high-volume manufacturing.
- Experience working with and managing supplier relationships would be ideal.
