A well-established and growing industrial business is seeking an experienced HSEQ Manager to lead its Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality function.

The Role
As HSEQ Manager, responsibilities will include:
- Leading all Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality activities across the business.
- Driving a proactive and positive safety culture throughout the organisation.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, environmental permits and industry standards.
- Acting as the subject matter expert and key point of contact for all HSEQ matters.
- Managing and continuously improving ISO-certified management systems.
- Leading internal and external audits, inspections and compliance reviews.
- Investigating incidents, accidents and near misses, ensuring effective corrective actions are implemented.
- Developing policies, procedures and management system documentation.
- Producing HSEQ performance reports and presenting findings to senior stakeholders.
- Leading training, competency and workforce development programmes.
- Building strong relationships with regulators, auditors, customers and external stakeholders.
- Supporting operational teams to deliver best practice across safety, quality and environmental performance.
About You
The successful candidate will be a confident and influential HSEQ professional with experience operating within a fast-paced industrial environment.
Backgrounds could include:
- Manufacturing
- Logistics
- FMCG
- Heavy Industrial Operations
- Proven experience leading Health, Safety and Environmental functions.
- Experience managing ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
- Strong understanding of auditing, compliance and risk management.
- Experience leading investigations and implementing corrective actions.
- Previous people management or leadership experience.
- Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of an organisation.
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 4 (or higher) in Occupational Health & Safety Practice or equivalent.
- Internal or Lead Auditor qualification advantageous.
- Professional membership or working towards membership of a recognised H&S body beneficial.
