Outpatient psychiatry role with varied and clinically interesting caseload across mood, anxiety, and neuro-developmental disorders, including some complex severe and enduring presentations. Role covers assessment and treatment pathways and progression to a balanced caseload of new and follow-up patients. Responsibilities
- Manage a varied outpatient caseload across mood, anxiety, and neuro-developmental disorders with assessment and treatment pathways and early progression to a balanced mix of new and follow-up patients.
- Refer patients in-house to multidisciplinary team members offering a variety of therapeutic treatment modalities.
- Attend timetabled weekly and monthly MDT meetings, risk management meetings, clinical governance meetings, CPD, and PDP; opportunities to be involved in clinical leadership and service development where interested.
- Manage patient referrals centrally to meet your clinical caseload preference.
- In-house team handles all patient, GP, and insurer liaison, including diary booking, dictation, transcription, and report formatting, to support your caseload.
- Participate in weekly, monthly, and quarterly peer and MDT meetings, with the option to attend remotely.
- Engage in a role with a healthy blend of clinical patient-facing time and opportunities to contribute to service development, quality improvement, clinical, and digital innovation.
Qualifications and Experience
- GMC license in full; CCT in General Adult Psychiatry or Forensic Psychiatry; AC; and Section 12 approval.
- Recent and relevant experience providing safe and effective interventions to improve the lives of individuals and families with mental health difficulties.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Team player with the ability to support others in the workplace and manage time effectively.

- Know when to make appropriate recommendations and referrals to other services.
