Salary: Β£66,582 β Β£77,368 per annum, pro rata
Exciting opportunity for a permanent Principal Practitioner Psychologist (Clinical, Counselling, Forensic) to join the Oldham Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team (CRHTT). This is a key leadership role within a dynamic and supportive service, coming at a time of significant new investment in the crisis pathway.
Main Duties
- Provide consultation and formulation to colleagues within the CRHTT
- Provide a qualified specialist psychology service for people referred to the CRHTT care pathway
- Specialist assessment, formulation and interventions for a clinical caseload
- Provide psychological leadership to the CRHTT care pathway
- Work systemically across services (acute services and secondary care)
- Lead psychological CRHTT provision within borough and support Trust-wide acute pathway
- Propose and implement evidence-based practice
- Enhance psychological understanding through delivery of training, supervision and reflective practice
- Link with local universities and provide placements for trainee Psychologists
- Contribute to local and national initiatives to improve care quality
Essential Criteria
- Doctoral level training in clinical psychology (or postgraduate training in Forensic or Counselling Psychology) as accredited by BPS
- Current HCPC registration as Clinical, Forensic or Counselling Psychologist
- Demonstrable post-qualification experience of specialist psychological assessment, formulation and treatment of adult clients
- Experience working with complex mental health problems including psychosis, complex relational and emotional needs, severe depression, anxiety and trauma
- Experience working with people experiencing suicidal crisis
- Experience of clinical leadership
- Experience providing clinical supervision
- Experience providing teaching/training upon clinical interventions
Desirable
- Completion of further post-qualification training within psychological therapies (DBT, CBT, CAT, CFT, MBT etc)
- Experience working within an acute service setting
