With seven London studios and a growing digital platform, Psycle At Home, we deliver world‑class workouts across Ride, Reformer, Barre, Strength, Yoga, Infrared and Lagree. We’re a small, ambitious business with big plans — and we’re looking for a Financial Controller who can own, shape and elevate our entire finance function. This is a hands‑on, high‑impact role for someone who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment, enjoys improving systems and processes, and can translate financial data into clear operational insight.

What You’ll Lead

  • Full ownership of month‑end including P&L, balance sheet, cashflow, KPI packs and variance analysis.
  • Weekly trading performance reporting across studios and digital, providing actionable insight to leadership.
  • Statutory accounts, year‑end consolidation and audit preparation, ensuring Psycle is fully compliant and audit‑ready.
  • VAT returns, corporation tax support and financial policies, maintaining strong governance and regulatory adherence.
  • Cashflow forecasting and scenario modelling to support strategic and operational decisions.

Cost & Margin Ownership

  • Accurate cost data through strong AP support and coding integrity.
  • Ancillary margin visibility across retail, workshops, private sessions, events and add‑ons.
  • COGS ownership, including stock movements, supplier pricing, shrinkage and wastage analysis.
  • Clear insight into profitability drivers, enabling smarter purchasing, pricing and operational decisions.

Business Partnering

  • Studio Managers — labour efficiency, class profitability, occupancy trends, cost control.
  • Operations Team — maintenance spend, call‑out trends, equipment lifecycle costs, scheduling efficiency and operational KPIs.
  • Budget holders — marketing, digital, retail and central functions, ensuring budgets are understood and adhered to.
  • Leadership — providing forward‑looking insight that shapes pricing, scheduling, investment and growth decisions.
  • Automation of reporting and workflows, reducing manual processes and improving accuracy.
  • System optimisation, ensuring our finance tools and integrations are used to their full potential.
  • Digital subscription analytics for Psycle At Home, including churn, retention, pricing and engagement trends.
  • Data innovation, uncovering insights across class mix, membership behaviour, digital performance and studio profitability.

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong technical accounting skills with experience in multi‑site, retail, hospitality or fitness.
  • Excellent financial modelling and Excel capability.
  • Confidence working autonomously and improving processes.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with non‑finance teams and influence operational decisions.
  • A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset with a passion for efficiency and insight.

What Success Looks Like

  • Controlled, compliant, audit‑ready finance processes.
  • Predictable, well‑managed cashflow.
  • Clear visibility of ancillary margins, COGS and wastage.
  • Studio and Operations teams using financial insight to drive performance.
  • Automated reporting and streamlined workflows.
  • Leadership receiving forward‑looking, commercially relevant insight.
  • A trusted advisor who elevates Psycle’s financial and operational decision‑making.
