About Us:

Psychiatry UK is the UK’s leading provider of digital psychiatry services, working both privately and with the NHS to support children, teenagers and adults with expert, patient-centred care.

A career with Psychiatry UK allows you to expand your knowledge, enhance your skills, and gain valuable life experience—all while enjoying the flexibility of a remote full-time role. As part of a leading online mental health service, you\’ll collaborate with innovative, forward-thinking professionals in a dynamic, multidisciplinary team committed to making a real difference.

The Senior Primary Care Relationship Manager will play a pivotal role focused on strengthening relationships with a stakeholder group essential to both our current operations and future growth; General Practitioners (GPs).

As we work to be part of the solution to the UK’s mental health crisis, GPs are instrumental in ensuring patients receive timely, high-quality, and joined-up care across the ADHD and ASD diagnostic pathways. This role has been created to transform our approach from transactional to truly collaborative, with the goal of making Psychiatry UK the partner of choice for GPs. The successful candidate will bring a deep understanding of the challenges GPs face in supporting patients with neurodevelopmental conditions, along with the passion, creativity, and leadership to shape and drive this function from the ground up.

This is a home-based role (applicants must reside in the UK), though occasional travel may be required for face-to-face meetings at various locations within the UK.

As our Senior Primary Care Relationship Manager, you will:

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of GPs and other key referrer groups—mapping their needs, challenges, decision-making processes, and influence on referral pathways. Use these insights to shape strategic decisions and drive improvements across Psychiatry UK.
  • Collaborate across Psychiatry UK teams to design and implement a multi-faceted strategy to strengthen our reputation and recognition among GPs—positioning us as their partner of choice. This includes marketing, clinician engagement, training, and pathway enhancements. Map the end-to-end GP experience to identify friction points and lead targeted improvements with clear short-, medium-, and long-term goals.
  • Design and execute targeted initiatives to increase ADHD and ASD referral volumes year on year. Leverage tools such as marketing campaigns, GP engagement events, influencer partnerships, and public relations to drive measurable growth in referral activity.
  • Partner with pathway and clinical leadership to improve the quality and acceptance rate of referrals and shared care arrangements. Focus on enhancing the patient experience at these critical transition points to ensure smoother, safer care pathways.
  • Work closely with Clinical, Pathway, and Quality & Safety teams to strengthen patient safety—supporting the development, testing, and implementation of improved risk assessment models in collaboration with GPs.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure progress toward becoming the partner of choice for GPs. Use data-driven insights to demonstrate impact and guide continuous improvement efforts

To succeed as our Senior Primary Care Relationship Manager, you will be:

A confident and persuasive communicator, able to engage effectively across written, verbal, and visual formats—including presentations. You will demonstrate the credibility, presence, and professionalism required to represent Psychiatry UK with external stakeholders, particularly GPs. With strong interpersonal skills and a high degree of personal ownership, you can build trust, influencing decisions, and acting as a compelling ambassador for the organisation. Help shape the GP experience and journey with PUK. Play a key role in designing new propositions, ensuring GPs remain at the heart of everything we create.

Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • In-depth understanding of the challenges, priorities, and day-to-day realities faced by GPs, gained through direct experience and close collaboration within primary care settings.
  • A strong, active network of GP contacts, providing ongoing access to insight, feedback, and perspectives that help inform strategy and maintain relevance with this stakeholder group.
  • Proven ability to develop, lead, and deliver strategic plans, working both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams to drive execution and measurable results.

Desirable Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • First-hand experience within primary care—either as a practicing GP or through direct involvement in the management and operations of a GP surgery or practice.
  • Proven track record of delivering against measurable targets, such as increasing referral volumes or improving conversion rates, with accountability for performance outcomes.
  • Strong experience in relationship-building and stakeholder engagement within healthcare or similarly people-focused services, with the ability to create meaningful partnerships that drive mutual value.
  • Demonstrated success in leading marketing or outreach initiatives, including campaign planning and delivery, particularly those aimed at influencing clinical or referral behaviours.
  • An established network of professional contacts at a regional or national level, enabling quicker access, broader reach, and greater credibility in engagement efforts.
