Psyche Health delivers specialist psychological services and consultancy grounded in evidence-based practice. The organisation provides support at individual, systemic, and organisational levels, with a particular focus on trauma, risk, and recovery. Applicants will join a values-driven service committed to high-quality, ethically informed psychological care.
Psyche Health is continuing to grow, and we are looking to welcome a newly qualified or preceptorship psychologist to join our team. This is a full-time, employed hybrid role working across residential care, secure settings, and wider specialist adult services across Lancashire and West Yorkshire. The role involves delivering trauma-informed psychological assessment, formulation, and intervention within complex and relational environments. The caseload will be varied and will include work with children and young people in residential and secure settings, as well as work with adults presenting with complex trauma, risk, and mental health needs. The role will also involve consultation with staff teams, contributing to care planning, and delivering reflective practice and training within services. This is a diverse role requiring strong formulation skills, flexibility, and a trauma-informed approach across different service contexts.
We are committed to inclusive recruitment and welcome applications from all Psychologists. Experience in secure settings, forensic contexts, or with high-risk populations would be highly beneficial, but is not essential for the right candidate with strong transferrable skills and a willingness to develop.
We offer:
- Regular clinical supervision and structured support
- Opportunities for training and professional development
- A varied and meaningful clinical caseload
- Hybrid working and flexible working arrangements
- A supportive, reflective, and collaborative team culture
- An exciting opportunity to shape and develop a new organisation
We are looking for someone who:
- Is HCPC registered (or nearing registration via preceptorship)
- Has a strong interest in working across complex and high-risk services
- Values trauma-informed and psychologically informed practice
- Is reflective, motivated, and eager to develop
- Can travel across Lancashire and West Yorkshire as required
- Experience working with looked-after children, residential care, or similar complex presentations is highly beneficial
- Strong understanding of attachment, developmental trauma and therapeutic care
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and consultation skills, with the ability to provide training and reflective spaces for staff
- Ability to work autonomously within professional and ethical guidelines, manage a varied caseload, and prioritize safely
At Psyche Health, we are committed to creating a supportive environment where all members can develop confidence, grow their skills, and feel valued in their clinical work, while contributing to meaningful change across diverse services.
