Role Overview

We are seeking Support Workers to support young males with complex needs and challenging behaviour. The successful candidate will provide person‑centred support to help individuals achieve positive outcomes, maintain safety, and develop independence in line with agreed care plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day‑to‑day support to young males with complex needs and challenging behaviour
  • Support delivery of individual support plans, risk assessments, and positive behaviour approaches
  • Maintain a safe, respectful environment in accordance with policies and safeguarding procedures
  • Implement behaviour support strategies, with an emphasis on de‑escalation and positive engagement
  • Promote routines, participation in activities, and skill development
  • Encourage independence while ensuring consistent boundaries
  • Record and update observations, incidents, and progress in line with internal processes
  • Work effectively as part of a multi‑disciplinary team

Requirements

  • Valid full UK driving licence (essential)
  • Experience working with individuals who have complex needs and/or challenging behaviour (preferred)
  • PBM training (preferred; candidates with PBM training will be given preference)
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries
  • Ability to remain calm and consistent during challenging situations
  • Excellent communication skills and a flexible, reliable approach
  • Right to work in the UK: we do not offer sponsorship

Desirable Skills / Experience

  • PBM‑trained or relevant behaviour management training
  • Experience in residential support, care, education, or supported living settings
  • Knowledge of positive behaviour strategies and safe intervention practices

Safeguarding & Compliance

  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young adults
  • Willingness to complete any required training (including safeguarding and behaviour management as applicable)
