We are seeking a female Support Worker / Carer to join a complex 2:1 care package supporting a 17-year-old girl. The role offers full-time regular hours and requires a compassionate, proactive approach to delivering safe, person-centred support.

  • Provide day-to-day care and support to a non-verbal, blind wheelchair user
  • Support with epilepsy care following agreed care plans and risk procedures
  • Maintain the individual’s comfort, dignity, and independence where possible
  • Assist with mobility and daily living needs in line with training and safe working practices
  • Work collaboratively with the care team to ensure consistent support
  • Record/report observations appropriately and escalate concerns promptly
  • Support communication using agreed methods and adapt support approaches to sensory needs

Client Profile / Care Needs:

  • 17 yrs old

  • Epilepsy
  • Wheelchair user
  • Complex care package
  • 2:1 support ratio

Shift Pattern (Full-time, Regular Hours):

  • Monday to Friday: 3:00pm – 9:00pm
  • Saturday: 10:00am – 10:00pm
  • Sunday: 10:00am – 4:00pm

Requirements:

  • Must be female (to meet the client’s care needs)
  • Experience in complex care and/or supporting individuals with disabilities and epilepsy is desirable
  • Understanding of safeguarding, behaviour support, and safe care practices
  • Ability to follow care plans and medication/epilepsy procedures correctly
  • Strong communication skills (including experience supporting non-verbal individuals)
  • Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work consistently across the week
