We are seeking a passionate and experienced Registered Manager to lead a 2-bed children’s home supporting two young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) in the NN4 area. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring high standards of care, compliance, and a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Register and maintain full regulatory compliance
  • Lead, recruit, and develop a dedicated care team
  • Oversee safeguarding, behaviour support plans, risk assessments, and care planning
  • Manage budgets, staffing rotas, and administrative duties
  • Build strong relationships with families, professionals, and external stakeholders
  • Monitor outcomes for young people and ensure consistently high standards of care

Requirements

  • Proven experience within residential children’s services, particularly supporting EBD
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a management role (e.g. Deputy Manager or similar)
  • NVQ Level 5 (or equivalent) in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Ability to lead by example and take a hands-on approach
  • Motivated to build and develop a new team and service
