About the Role We are seeking an experienced and clinically confident Registered Nurse to support our teams across Leicester, Derby and the wider East Midlands on an interim basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering clinical training and assessing the competency of Healthcare Assistants (HCAs) and Support Workers (SWs), ensuring they are safe and competent to undertake delegated clinical tasks. This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse with strong clinical skills who enjoys supporting, training and developing care staff across both paediatric and adult services. Key Responsibilities Deliver clinical training and support to HCAs and Support Workers. Undertake clinical competency assessments and sign off delegated clinical tasks where appropriate. Ensure staff have the knowledge, skills and confidence to deliver safe, high-quality care. Support teams working with both paediatric and adult service users. Travel to services across Leicester, Derby and the wider East Midlands as required. Promote safe clinical practice and ensure care is delivered in line with relevant policies and procedures. Clinical Skills Required Experience and competence in the following areas are essential: Tracheostomy care Ventilator management Oxygen therapy Spinal injury care Cough assist PEG care and management About You We are looking for a nurse who: Is a Registered Nurse with a valid NMC registration. Has relevant experience across paediatric and adult care. Is confident delivering clinical training and undertaking competency assessments. Has experience supporting HCAs and Support Workers with delegated clinical tasks. Is confident working independently across multiple care settings. Ideally lives within the Midlands and is willing to travel between services. What We Offer Competitive hourly rate starting at £30 per hour. Mileage expenses paid. Weekly pay.
