We are recruiting Female Complex Carers to support young people with complex needs in the NG2 area. This position requires experienced, clinically competent care and a calm, confident approach when supporting individuals with behaviours that challenge.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide person-centred care to a young person with complex needs
- Support daily living and individual care plans in line with clinical requirements
- Assist with clinical/medical care including:
- NG tube care and feeding support
- Medication administration
- NJT care for feed support (as required by care plans)
- Support and manage routines and interventions for:
- Behaviours that challenge
- Emotional regulation and positive support strategies
- Work as part of a dedicated team using a 2:1 ratio
- Maintain accurate records and follow safeguarding and care procedures
Requirements / Essential Criteria
- Female applicants only (as required for the role)
- At least 12 months UK care experience (including mental health experience)
- Demonstrable clinical experience with:
- NG tube
- Medication
- NJT for feeding (for required care routines)
- Experience supporting young people with:
- Complex needs
- Behaviours that challenge
- Ability to provide consistent care during both day and night shifts
- Commitment to safeguarding, professionalism, and person-centred values
Shift Pattern
- 12-hour day shift
- 12-hour waking night
- 2:1 ratio support arrangements
