The predicted salary is between 28800 - 43200 Β£ per year.

The Procurement Technician will be responsible for purchasing products according to system recommendations, tracking orders, developing lasting business relationships, and negotiating prices with suppliers.

Day to day tasks:

  • Create and track purchase orders (POs) with suppliers to ensure timely processing and delivery.
  • Follow up on vendor confirmations and monitor expected delivery timelines.
  • Oversee administrative tasks related to procurement and inventory replenishment activities.
  • Validate and adjust PO pricing as necessary.
  • Negotiate returns with suppliers.
  • Manage inventory shortages and address obsolescence concerns.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal clients and departments to support operational needs.
  • Maintain good relationships and strong partnerships with suppliers.
  • Ensure all procurement activities adhere to the company's policies and suppliers guidelines.
  • Any other reasonable ad-hoc requests as required by your manager.

Essential skills / experience:

  • Good understanding and knowledge of ERP, MRP systems.
  • Proficient in using Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritise workloads within tight deadlines.
  • Ability to stay calm working under pressure and ability to adapt to change.

Level of education: Educated to industry related degree level or equivalent.

Work experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant role.
