About us: At PSS, we’ve got an important job to do; and that’s to help people make the most of their lives. Whether you’re working directly with the people who use our services, or behind the scenes in one of our offices, every day you’ll be helping to make other people feel happier, healthier and more supported. We’re a social enterprise or, as we like to call it – a ‘business with a heart’, which means all the money we make goes back into finding new ways to help people. Our aim is simple; we want to help people change their lives for the better – no matter what life throws at them. We’ve got offices across Merseyside, Wales, Yorkshire, Manchester and the Midlands, where we’re making our stamp.
What you’ll do: If you’re successful, your main responsibility will be in supporting the team to be as consistent and efficient as physically possible. You’ll be the legs paddling under the surface, making sure our service users and carers feel as supported as possible. You’ll be a dynamo in the organisation and make sure the team can focus their attention on the people they work to improve the lives of. In a nut-shell you’ll look after:
- The organisational admin stuff - working with the Service manager, Shared Lives managers and Shared Lives Development workers looking after the day to day running of the office and keeping things smooth.
- The high precision stuff - making sure all our important data is logged, everything is organised and we’re efficient and switched on.
- The carer appreciation stuff - booking our carers onto important training, making them feel looked after, building relationships with them and ensuring their records are updated and their voice is heard.
- The big-picture stuff - tracking all that is going on, where we’re up to, where we could get better, writing reports on this and passing this back to the team.
- The positive and productive stuff - building great relationships with the entire PSS team.
