Overview
If you’re successful, your main responsibility will be in supporting the team to be as consistent and efficient as physically possible. You’ll be the legs paddling under the surface, making sure our service users and carers feel as supported as possible. You’ll be a dynamo in the organisation and make sure the team can focus their attention on the people they work to improve the lives of.
Responsibilities
- The organisational admin stuff - working with the Service manager, Shared Lives managers and Shared Lives Development workers looking after the day to day running of the office and keeping things smooth.
- The high precision stuff - making sure all our important data is logged, everything is organised and we’re efficient and switched on.
- The carer appreciation stuff - booking our carers onto important training, making them feel looked after, building relationships with them and ensuring their records are updated and their voice is heard.
- The big-picture stuff - tracking all that is going on, where we’re up to, where we could get better, writing reports on this and passing this back to the team.
- The positive and productive stuff - building great relationships with the entire PSS team, being the go-to person when someone needs support and being flexible to the demands of the role.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bags of empathy, respect, understanding and a commitment to the cause of improving people’s lives and supporting people.
- Meticulous organisational skills, a desire for quality improvement and IT proficiency.
- Reams of energy, drive and a self-motivated style, which means you don’t mind working on your own sometimes, to your own initiative.
- A flair with people and communicating effectively with lots of different types of people. You’ll need to listen, build relationships and be personable. A passion for customer service is key.
