PSS Power Connections is a NERS-accredited independent connections provider delivering high and low voltage network solutions across England, Scotland, and Wales. The company offers compliant, quality-assured, full turnkey services, including renewable interfaces such as EV charging, battery energy storage systems, and solar across LV/11/33/66/132kV underground and overhead lines. PSS Power Connections has in-house, DNO-trained delivery teams and is a specialist in UKPN and SSEN connection specifications. PSS Power Connections is part of the PSS Power Group.

This is a full-time Major Connections Project Manager role based in Marlow with a hybrid working model. The Major Connections Project Manager will oversee end-to-end delivery of major electrical connection projects, including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and cost control across HV and EHV networks.

Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating with clients, DNOs/IDNOs, internal engineering and construction teams, and third-party suppliers to meet technical, safety, and quality assurance.
  • Monitoring project progress, managing risks and issues, and ensuring timely completion of key milestones and deliverables.
  • Preparing and reviewing project documentation, reports, and handover packs.
  • Continuously identifying opportunities to improve processes and customer experience.

Qualifications:

  • Strong project management skills, including planning, budgeting, stakeholder communication, and risk management across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Contract & commercial management experience.
  • Experience in expediting and working as an expeditor to drive timely delivery of materials, approvals, and deliverables from internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Knowledge of inspection processes, quality control, and compliance with industry, DNO/IDNO, and safety standards on construction and electrical network projects.
  • Logistics management capabilities, including coordinating deliveries, plant, and resources across multiple sites and managing suppliers and contractors.
  • Essential background in electrical infrastructure, utilities, or power networks (HV/LV) is highly desirable; familiarity with UKPN, SSEN, or other DNO.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and standard office software; formal project management training or certification (e.g., PRINCE2, APM, PMP) is beneficial.
  • Ability to work safely, make sound decisions under pressure, and travel to project sites as required.
  • EHV DNO / Tier 1 experience is essential for this role.
  • Operational experience is an advantage.
