PSR Solutions are working with a Tier 2 Civils contractor in Essex and they are looking to bring in an experienced Project Manager or a Contracts Manager to work on multiple schemes in the South East.
The Opportunity
We are currently looking to appoint an experienced Contracts Manager to join a growing construction business based in Essex. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Contracts Manager with a strong background in enabling works, demolition, groundworks, civils or related construction sectors. You will take ownership of multiple projects and play a key role in their successful delivery.
You will be responsible for managing projects from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing multiple projects from commencement through to completion.
- Taking overall responsibility for project delivery, programme, commercial performance and client relationships.
- Managing Site Managers, Engineers, subcontractors and wider project teams.
- Working closely with the commercial and pre-construction teams to ensure effective project planning and delivery.
- Monitoring project programmes, costs and resources.
- Managing subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring works are delivered to agreed standards.
- Maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants and key stakeholders.
- Ensuring all works are delivered in accordance with health and safety requirements.
- Identifying and managing project risks, issues and opportunities.
- Attending site and client meetings as required.
- Supporting the development of project teams and driving high standards of performance.
- Ensuring projects are completed to programme, budget and quality expectations.
About You
We are looking for someone who has:
- Proven experience working as a Contracts Manager within construction.
- A strong background in enabling works, demolition, groundworks, civils or a related sector.
- Experience managing multiple projects and project teams.
- Strong commercial and contractual awareness.
- Excellent communication and client management skills.
- The ability to manage programmes, budgets and resources effectively.
- A strong understanding of health and safety and construction legislation.
- A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and make decisions.
- A full UK driving licence.
