Great opportunity with a regional civil engineering contractor for an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor who is looking for quick progression to QS and to work on long-term regional projects.

Working with the Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will initially have the opportunity to work on HS2, Water and roads projects, with values between £5 - £25m, across Berkshire and Oxfordshire, with the opportunity for quick promotion.

Assistant Quantity Surveyor roles and responsibilities:
  • Day to day commercial administration of the projects and/or packages under NEC.
  • Undertaking CE's and EW's.
  • Reviewing progress on site in line with commercials and programme.
  • Being trained to monitor, forecast and report on budgets and costs against programme and producing CVR's.
  • Reviewing payment applications.
  • Attending client and project progress meetings.
Assistant Quantity Surveyor requirements:
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar qualification and relevant experience.
  • 3+ years' experience working on Civil Engineering/infrastructure projects.
  • NEC or Yellow Book contract experience would be advantageous but not essential, as the client runs their own in-house NEC and contract training programme.
  • Happy to be office and/or site based.
