This is an excellent opportunity for a Graduate Quantity Surveyor or engineer looking to move into Quantity Surveying, to work with a rapidly growing civil engineering contractor who can offer flexible working between office, site & home.

The business has seen very strong growth over the last few years and have a number of new projects coming on-line in Central London over the next couple of months. They specialise in delivering projects from £50,000 to £4,000,000, with works including groundworks, demolition & strip out, steel structures, RC Frames, brick & blockwork, basements, and underpinning.

Trainee Quantity Surveyor roles and responsibilities:

  • Day to day commercial administration of the projects &/or packages, predominately under JCT.
  • Undertaking CE's and EW's.
  • Reviewing progress on site in line with commercials and programme.
  • Being trained to monitor, forecast and report on budgets and costs against programme and producing CVR's.
  • Reviewing payment applications.
  • Attending client and project progress meetings.

Trainee Quantity Surveyor requirements:

  • Degree or NHD/HND Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering degree with relevant site experience.
  • Previous site experience working for civil engineering, groundworks contractor or developer an advantage.
  • Well organised, diligent, self-motivated, and proactive.
