An established and highly reputable main contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Planner to support the delivery of major construction projects across the East Midlands region. This is an excellent opportunity to join a business with a strong pipeline of secured work across sectors including healthcare, education, commercial, custodial, and public sector developments.
Salary: £80,000 - £90,000 + Package
The Role
As Senior Planner, you will play a key role in both pre-construction and live project delivery, working closely with operational and commercial teams to develop and manage detailed construction programmes. Responsibilities will include:
- Producing tender and contract programmes using Asta Powerproject or Primavera P6
- Developing construction sequencing, phasing, and logistics strategies
- Supporting bid and pre-construction teams during tender submissions
- Monitoring project progress and identifying programme risks and opportunities
- Producing programme updates and progress reports
- Supporting project teams with mitigation strategies and recovery programmes
- Attending client, consultant, and subcontractor meetings
- Ensuring programmes align with contractual obligations and project milestones
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Planner or Senior Planner within a main contracting environment
- Strong understanding of construction methodology and sequencing
- Experience delivering large-scale construction projects
- Proficient in Asta Powerproject and/or Primavera P6
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with operational and commercial teams
- Full UK driving licence
