Are you an experienced Mechanical Site Manager looking for your next contract? Our client, a leading M&E subcontractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects across the UK, is looking to appoint a Mechanical Site Manager to support the successful delivery of projects throughout East Anglia. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business with a strong pipeline of work, offering a competitive day rate and the chance to work on technically challenging projects.
The Role
As Mechanical Site Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the mechanical installation works on site, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme and to the highest quality standards. Working alongside the Project Manager and wider delivery team, you will manage subcontractors, coordinate site activities and maintain strong relationships with the client and other trades.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise all mechanical installation activities on site.
- Ensure works are completed safely and in accordance with programme requirements.
- Coordinate mechanical subcontractors and direct labour.
- Carry out regular site inspections and quality checks.
- Attend site progress and coordination meetings.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
- Work closely with the Project Manager to monitor progress and resolve site issues.
- Maintain accurate site records and reporting.
- Liaise with other trades to ensure smooth project delivery.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Site Manager within the Building Services or M&E sector.
- Strong background managing mechanical installations on commercial or industrial projects.
- Ability to lead site teams and coordinate multiple subcontractors.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- SMSTS or SSSTS.
- Valid CSCS Card.
- First Aid at Work (preferred).
- Relevant mechanical trade qualifications or CSCS skill card (advantageous).
