Our client, a leading provider of Residential Care and Education, is looking to appoint a team leader for their beautiful home in Darlington.

Their homes accommodate young people with social, emotional and mental health needs, and their aim is to create the best possible outcome for the young people in their care.

Responsibilities

As a team leader you will

  • Take care of young people day to day, ensuring smooth operations and creating lasting memories.
  • Support the staff team and maintain high standards of care.
  • Deputise for the Registered and Deputy Managers when required.
  • Build relationships with young people, demonstrating compassion, emotional resilience and a supportive approach.
  • Provide inspirational leadership and support to your colleagues.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • A 'can do' attitude, team player willing to help others.
  • Honesty, empathy and genuine care for the young people (and each other).
  • Resilience to handle challenging situations.
  • Full UK driving licence held for at least 12 months.
  • Level 3 Children's Residential Care qualification.

Benefits

  • Salary: Base salary of £35,400- £42,664 (plus bonuses).
  • Bonuses: Up to 3 sleep‑ins per month paid £80 each (≈£2,880 per year), Attendance allowance up to £1,400 per year, £2,000 Regional Allowance, £1,500 Responsibility Allowance, £1,000 Welcome Bonus on successful completion of probation, £1,000 Loyalty Bonus after 12 months.
