PSR Solutions are recruiting for an experienced General Foreman to join a leading civil engineering contractor delivering key CP7 rail infrastructure projects across the Swindon area. This is an excellent opportunity to work on long-term Network Rail frameworks, playing a key role in the successful delivery of major rail and civil engineering schemes.

As General Foreman, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise day-to-day site operations on rail and civil engineering projects.
  • Lead site teams, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure works are completed safely and efficiently.
  • Promote and maintain the highest standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.
  • Deliver works in line with programme, budget and quality requirements.
  • Coordinate labour, plant, materials and resources to maximise productivity.
  • Conduct daily briefings, toolbox talks and site inspections.
  • Ensure RAMS are implemented and adhered to at all times.
  • Liaise with Site Agents, Project Managers, Engineers and the client to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Monitor progress, identify potential risks and implement solutions to keep works on schedule.
  • Maintain accurate site records, permits and quality documentation.
  • Foster a positive safety culture across the project.
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a General Foreman within rail or heavy civil engineering.
  • Experience working on Network Rail infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of earthworks, drainage, structures, reinforced concrete and general civils.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple work fronts in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation.

  • First Aid at Work
  • PTS (desirable)
  • Full UK Driving Licence
