PSR Solutions are currently recruiting for a Site Agent in London/Kent. This will be working for a reputable contractor within the Civils industry. They are seeking people with earthworks, enabling works and groundworks experience.
Job Summary
The Site Agent is responsible for the day-to-day management of civil construction works on site. The role ensures that projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the required quality standards while effectively managing site teams, subcontractors, and resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate all daily site activities
- Lead site teams including Sub Agents, Engineers, General Foremen, and Supervisors
- Ensure works are delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications, and contract requirements
- Plan and manage short-term and look-ahead programmes
- Monitor progress and productivity against the construction programme
- Coordinate labour, plant, materials, and subcontractors
- Manage site logistics and sequencing of works
- Control site costs and assist with forecasting and reporting
- Identify, manage, and report variations and risks
- Liaise with Project Managers, clients, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Ensure quality assurance processes, inspections, and ITPs are implemented
- Maintain accurate site records, reports, and documentation
Health, Safety & Environment
- Take overall responsibility for site health, safety, and environmental compliance
- Ensure safety policies, procedures, and systems are followed
- Lead toolbox talks, safety briefings, and site meetings
- Ensure risk assessments, SWMS, and method statements are in place and adhered to
- Promote a strong safety culture and intervene where unsafe practices are identified
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Site Agent within civil construction or infrastructure projects
- Strong technical knowledge of civil works (earthworks, drainage, pavements, concrete, services)
- Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documents
- Strong leadership, planning, and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
Qualifications (Desirable)
- Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
- Relevant safety certifications (WHS / CSCS or equivalent)
- First Aid certification
- Experience working under major civil contracts (e.g. NEC, FIDIC, AS)
