I'm currently working with a well-established civil engineering contractor based in Sheffield who are looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor on a permanent basis. This is a great opportunity for a commercially focused Quantity Surveyor to join an established business with a strong pipeline of work and genuine opportunities for long-term career progression.
As Quantity Surveyor, you'll be responsible for the commercial management of civils projects from procurement through to final account:
- Managing the commercial performance of allocated projects
- Monitoring project costs and identifying commercial risks and opportunities
- Preparing and agreeing final accounts
- Managing contractual and commercial matters
- Working closely with the operational and commercial teams
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and suppliers
My client is looking for a Quantity Surveyor with:
- Experience within civil engineering / infrastructure
- Strong commercial and contractual knowledge
- Good understanding of cost control, forecasting and final accounts
- Relevant Quantity Surveying / construction qualifications would be advantageous
