PSR are currently working with a Tier 1 Contractor in the Southern Region area who are seeking a Senior Engineer. This will be working on CP7 packages within a Rail and Civils environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Overseeing the entire project life cycle, managing depot enhancements, refurbishments, and new builds. Utilising expertise in AutoCAD for meticulous planning and precise execution.
  • Technical Expertise: Applying proficiency in AutoCAD and setting out to provide intricate technical guidance in track work, drainage, geotechnical, and civil engineering.
  • Quality Control: Implementing stringent quality control measures through regular inspections, ensuring all project aspects meet high standards set by industry regulations and client specifications.
  • Collaboration: Engaging in seamless collaboration with project managers, design teams, and subcontractors to facilitate effective communication and address any technical challenges.
  • Health and Safety: Prioritising and fostering a safety-first culture, ensuring strict compliance with health and safety regulations on-site.
  • Documentation: Rigorously maintaining accurate and up-to-date project documentation using AutoCAD, including precise drawings, comprehensive reports, and meticulous records.

Requirements:

  • PTS Certification: A valid Personal Track Safety (PTS) certification is mandatory.
  • Engineering Qualifications: Hold a degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
  • AutoCAD Proficiency: Demonstrable expertise in AutoCAD for precise project planning and execution.
  • Experience: Proven experience in rail civils projects, particularly in geotechnical, drainage, and embankments.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in relevant engineering software, with in-depth knowledge of rail industry standards and regulations.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating effective collaboration with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills, enabling quick and effective resolution of challenges encountered during project execution.
  • Leadership: Proven leadership capabilities, motivating site teams to work collaboratively and ensuring a productive and positive work environment.
