The Opportunity

A leading M&E contractor is looking to appoint an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Manchester on a permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced QS who has a strong background working for an M&E contractor and has successfully managed the commercial delivery of major M&E projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the commercial and contractual aspects of M&E projects from start to completion.
  • Manage project costs, valuations, variations, applications and final accounts.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate cost reports and forecasts.
  • Manage subcontractor accounts and procurement.
  • Identify and maximise commercial opportunities while managing financial risk.
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Commercial Managers and site teams.
  • Manage contractual notices and change control.
  • Ensure projects are delivered within agreed budgets and commercial targets.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working for an M&E contractor is essential.
  • Proven experience as an M&E Quantity Surveyor.
  • Experience managing the commercial aspects of M&E projects valued at £5m+.
  • Strong understanding of M&E construction contracts and commercial processes.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple commercial priorities and work closely with operational teams.

Package

£65,000 - £95,000 salary, depending on experience.
