Location: Maidstone, Kent
We are currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor to take commercial responsibility for our Fire Suppression projects, including sprinkler systems and dry and wet risers, based in Maidstone. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have strong contract knowledge across JCT, NEC and bespoke agreements, this could be the perfect next step in your career.
About the Role
- Contract Management: Manage contractual compliance and communication across JCT, NEC and bespoke contracts.
- Risk Management: Work closely with Project Managers to identify, assess and mitigate commercial and contractual risks.
- Cost Control: Prepare and submit payment applications, manage variations and monitor project costs.
- Reporting: Produce accurate weekly and monthly cost value reconciliation (CVR) reports for senior management.
What We’re Looking For
- We value strong Quantity Surveying fundamentals and a positive, proactive attitude.
- Previous experience in fire suppression is not essential, as full sector-specific training will be provided.
- Minimum of 1 year's experience in a Quantity Surveying role.
- Strong measurement and valuation skills.
- Solid understanding of contracts and project financial management.
- Confident using spreadsheets and analysing cost variations.
- CSCS card held or willingness to obtain one.
