Mechanical Supervisor
Northamptonshire | 6-Month Contract | £290-£320 per day | CIS or PAYE
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join a major construction project in Northamptonshire on an initial 6-month contract basis.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a large-scale project with a well-established contractor, overseeing mechanical installation works and ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and productivity are maintained throughout the programme.
The Role
As Mechanical Supervisor, you will be responsible for coordinating and supervising mechanical trades on site, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with project specifications and deadlines.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Supervising mechanical installation activities on site.
- Coordinating subcontractors and direct labour teams.
- Monitoring progress against programme milestones.
- Ensuring all works are completed to the required quality standards.
- Conducting site inspections and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Liaising with Project Managers, Site Managers, and other trades to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Managing RAMS and site documentation as required.
- Supporting project delivery through proactive planning and problem-solving.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must have:
- Proven experience working as a Mechanical Supervisor on large construction or M&E projects.
- Valid CSCS Card.
- SSSTS or SMSTS certification.
- Strong understanding of mechanical building services installations.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to coordinate multiple work fronts and deliver against programme requirements.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of health and safety on site.
