The Role

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Site Manager to oversee a key project in Wiltshire, with potential future work expected across the Midlands and South. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful technical and commercial delivery of mechanical packages on complex projects, maintaining our high standards of safety, quality, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the mechanical installation and commissioning process from pre-construction through to handover
  • Coordinate with design teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • Monitor project progress, budgets, and programme milestones
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and company standards
  • Attend and lead site meetings with clients and stakeholders
  • Support procurement activities and manage subcontractor performance
  • Assist in managing project documentation and reporting

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Site Manager within an M&E or main contracting environment
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical building services (HVAC, pipework, plant rooms, etc.)
  • Experience delivering projects within Education, MoJ, healthcare, or similarly regulated sectors is advantageous
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a wider project team
  • Relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services (HNC/HND/Degree preferred)
  • CSCS card (relevant level)
  • SMSTS Security clearance (or willingness and eligibility to obtain it) is highly desirable
