We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join our team and lead the delivery of mechanical services across a diverse portfolio of projects. Operating within key sectors such as Healthcare, Education, and the Ministry of Justice (MOJ), this is a dynamic role requiring both technical expertise and strong leadership capabilities.
You'll take full ownership of mechanical packages across the full project lifecycle - from design coordination and planning, through to execution, commissioning, and handover - ensuring all works are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end delivery of mechanical (HVAC) works on multiple projects
- Produce and maintain accurate progress reports and planning documentation
- Ensure all project milestones and deadlines are met
- Oversee Health & Safety on site, ensuring full compliance with company and legal standards
- Coordinate and manage both direct labour and specialist subcontractors
- Maintain strong control of budgets and costs, delivering value-driven outcomes
- Support in pre-construction activities including tendering and estimation (where applicable)
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal teams to ensure strong working relationships and client satisfaction
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager, ideally across MOJ, Healthcare, and Education sectors
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical services, particularly HVAC systems
- Excellent organisational and planning skills
- Financially astute, with a strong understanding of budget control and commercial management
- Good knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and best practices
- Confident communicator, capable of managing client relationships and team performance
- IT literate, including project management and reporting tools
- Estimating experience is beneficial but not essential
