PSR Solutions are working with an established client within the Construction Sector to recruit a Material Planner to Join their Procurement team on a permanent basis. This role will be based in West Midlands.
Material Planner Roles and Responsibilities
- Monitor demand forecasts, customer orders, and usage trends to create accurate material requirements plans
- Maintain optimal inventory levels to balance customer service with working capital targets
- Work closely with the procurement team to place purchase orders in line with planning requirements
- Liaise with suppliers to resolve shortages, delays, or discrepancies
- Produce regular reports on stock levels, demand forecast accuracy, supplier performance, and availability
- Analyse demand / supply trends and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
Material Planner Requirements
- Previous experience in a material planning, inventory management, or procurement role (ideally in a distribution or wholesale environment).
- Working knowledge of CRM systems
- Computer literate
- Knowledge of supply chain and procurement best practices
