We are currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to work for a Construction Main contractor based in Market Harborough.
They specialise in industrial and logistics projects across the UK.
Accounts Assistant roles and responsibilities
Process purchase and sales invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
Reconcile supplier statements and resolve invoice queries with vendors.
Assist with bank reconciliations and the allocation of incoming and outgoing payments.
Support credit control activities, including chasing outstanding payments where required.
Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all accounting data is up to date.
Assist with month-end procedures, including preparing journals and account reconciliations.
Provide administrative support to the finance team and assist with ad hoc accounting duties.
Ensure compliance with company financial procedures and maintain confidentiality of financial information.
Accounts Assistant requirements
Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant, Bookkeeper, or similar finance role is desirable.
Good understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
Experience using accounting software such as Sage, Xero, Quick Books, or similar is advantageous.
Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
A proactive and reliable team player with strong communication skills.
AAT qualification or studying towards AAT is desirable but not essential.
