We are currently seeking a Senior Estimator to develop the tender information provided on projects into a competent financial tender submission to enable one of our key clients to secure work and achieve its business needs. The Building team brings its design, build and refurbishment expertise to complex projects across the country.
Summary:
- Will work across all Building projects - MOD, Defence, Major commercial projects in central London.
- To be based in London, Southeast with some homeworking - 2 days a week.
- Must have worked in major tier 1 competitor on similar value projects (minimum £100million) and have good understanding of the building sector - looking for experience in similar markets as opposed to someone at smaller companies.
You’ll:
- Prepare all financial elements and components of the tendering process from identification and authorisation to proceed to financial handover and beyond.
- Prepare all necessary financial documents for the Chief Estimator, Operations Director and Managing Director reviews.
- Assist the bidding team with any post tender negotiations as required.
- Maintain accurate benchmarking data from completed tenders and secured projects.
- Liaise with the company’s Building Services in conjunction with MEP and FS financial and cost input into submissions.
- Liaise with Procurement with regards to subcontractor selection and potential further opportunities on price betterment.
- Actively partake in and be a champion of electronic tendering practices and integration of BIM.
We’re looking for:
- Experience of estimating for large building projects.
- Experience of pricing tenders using computerised estimating system(s) (Causeway preferred).
- Demonstrable experience of liaising/working with Sub-contractors and Suppliers to produce robust estimates.
- Demonstrable experience of issuing/receiving tender queries.
- Security Clearance: This role requires a minimum level of security clearance and may also require a higher level of National Security Vetting.
