PSR Solutions are seeking an experienced Principal Mechanical Engineer to support a major infrastructure project in North West London. This is a long-term contract opportunity working on a complex, multidisciplinary scheme within a fast-paced project environment.

Role Overview

You will lead mechanical engineering activities from design through to delivery, ensuring systems are compliant, buildable, and delivered in line with programme and quality expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and review mechanical design to ensure compliance and buildability
  • Deliver mechanical solutions across building services and infrastructure systems
  • Support design assurance, risk assessments, and technical reviews
  • Contribute to safety studies (HAZID, HAZOP)
  • Manage technical documentation and coordinate with design teams
  • Work with site teams to resolve design and installation issues
  • Attend testing and commissioning activities
  • Liaise with commercial and planning teams to maintain programme delivery
  • Provide guidance and oversight to junior engineers

Qualifications

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred
  • Chartered Engineer or working towards beneficial
  • Relevant professional membership (IMechE, CIBSE, IET or similar) would be beneficial
  • SMSTS and CSCS (AQP or PQP) essential
  • Full UK driving licence

This is an outside IR35 contract with an immediate start available.
