This is a three-month position with the potential for extension, offering the opportunity to take full ownership of the design process and work closely with consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the design process, ensuring compliance with client requirements and industry standards
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and integrate design solutions
- Review and approve design drawings, specifications, and documentation
- Monitor design risks, costs, and programme impacts, providing regular updates to senior management
- Facilitate design reviews, workshops, and coordination meetings
- Support procurement and tender processes as required
- Ensure smooth handover of design information to construction and operational teams
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Design Manager at a Tier 1
- Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of design standards, building regulations, and construction processes
- Excellent leadership, organisational, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently and deliver to tight deadlines
