Job Title: Junior Estimator\\n Location: Warwickshire\\n Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience\\n Job Type: Full-time, Permanent\\n Sector: Civil Engineering / Groundworks / Earthworks\\n\\nThe Junior Estimator Role\\n\\nPSR Solutions are working with a well-established civil engineering contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality earthworks and groundworks projects across the Midlands and surrounding areas. Due to continued growth and a healthy pipeline of work, we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Estimator to join our commercial team. If you're looking for your first role in Estimating or are currently working as an Estimator and looking to move across to a business with year-on-year growth and a range of interesting clients then do apply.\\n\\nResponsibilities of the Junior Estimator\\n\\nAs an Junior Estimator, you will assist in the preparation of accurate and competitive cost estimates for a range of projects, including groundworks, earthworks, drainage, roads, and infrastructure packages.

This role offers excellent exposure to the full tendering process and is ideal for someone looking to develop a career in construction estimating within a supportive and experienced team.\\n\\nThe Junior Estimator will\\n\\nAssist in the preparation of cost estimates and tender submissions for a variety of civil engineering projects.\\n\\nAnalyse drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate quantities and pricing.\\n\\nLiaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain up-to-date pricing and technical information.\\n\\nHelp prepare take-offs and Bills of Quantities using standard industry software.\\n\\nWork closely with Estimators, Quantity Surveyors, and Project Managers to understand project requirements.\\n\\nMaintain and update the estimating database and resource libraries.\\n\\nSupport in the handover of successful tenders to the delivery team.\\n\\nParticipate in tender review meetings and provide input as required.\\n\\nThe ideal Junior Estimator will be\\n\\nIdeally educated to HNC/HND or Degree level in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or similar (or working towards).\\nSome experience in a construction or estimating environment is desirable but not essential – recent graduates or trainees welcome to apply.\\n\\nStrong numerical and analytical skills.\\n\\nProficient in Microsoft Excel and other standard MS Office applications.\\n\\nExperience with estimating software (e.g., Conquest, Causeway, or similar) is beneficial but not essential – training provided.\\n\\nGood communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.\\n\\nWillingness to learn, develop, and take on increasing responsibility over time.\\n\\nWhat's on offer for the Junior Estimator\\n\\nCompetitive salary and benefits package\\n\\nOngoing training and development\\n\\nMentorship from experienced estimating professionals\\n\\nOpportunities for career progression within a reputable and growing contractor\\n\\nFriendly and supportive team environment\\n\\nOffice-based role with occasional site visits as required\\n\\nFor additional information on this Junior Estimator role or to discuss your next career move in confidence, please contact Jamie @ PSR Solutions
